| heya, does anyone play medieval total war?
i wanna get some hotseat campaigns going, prefer able a britannia one. all we need is 4 people. one to go the irish (dibs), scotland, wales, and england, would be kids cool if we could get people doing their own nationality lol.
and for those who dunno what total war is, here is a short in game video, its not actually a cutscene, proper fight as it appears in game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs5aDpjq0nM&feature=player_embedded
total war is a turn based strategy game, with real time battles. u can go all sorts of nationalities in it, u can get a lot of people on it too, the game itself is like 15GB to get it all. so yeah its a huge game, not the sorta thing u could do in a few hours, so what u can do is take the "save" file and email it to people when it reaches their turn. if more than 4 people wanna play, there are other campaigns, and if enough wanna, we could even get a world domination campaign going. it really is a fun game to play, and easy to pick up.
if anyone who doesn't have it and wants to try, i have all the installers for it already downloaded.
also anyone who does have it, if u wanna to the grand campaign, i will have to mod it for u. hotseat

| Just to clarify, you mean Medival Total War 2 yes?
I'd probably be up for it, as I've been meaning to play more of that game (most I've done is some to-and-fro-ing with France as Britain in the grand campaign. I'd prefer to do the grand campaign, but the brittania one sounds fun as well. I'm English, so I guess I should play them (although I don't know any welsh people who are in the CGS). A hotseat game sounds amazing, as I've always been at bit annoyed with the ai for not making much sense ever.
Might take me a while to redownload medival total war though. I should have it by next monday.

| Technically, we don't even have to play it all at the meetups - and that would also save people sitting around doing nothing I guess. | |

| There's no way I'll have it downloaded for tommorow, so if you get enough people, you can do the first one without me, and we can go for a different campaign later. However, I should almost definitely have it downloaded by next monday, so if you dont get enough people without me, I'm sure you can wait an extra week.
I know its quicker to use the installer, but I've been wanting to redownload my steam games, and in the long run it will be better to have my own copy installed.
Have either of you ever played Rome Total War as the Britons? The head hurlers are full of win.

| did nobody read my message? i already have the installers downloaded, though it does take a long while to install, maybe an hour in total, to install and mod it.
i will bring the installers so at the very least we can have people with it installed. i heard robert is welsh, maybe we can try to convince him, or would TW2 on his laptop, well explode?

| (figured it would make more sense posting here...) Sure, I'd be interested. Brittania campaign right? I usually either go as Scotland or Wales, but I'm not overly picky about who I go. | |

| Is it on steam chaos? Because apparently it's not compatible or something.
Anyway, I'm currently downloading the patch so that I can hopefully continue to install kingdoms. I don't think it was frozen before, just incredibly fucking slow. I'll leave my pc on overnight, and it may be done by morning...
Still need the mods etc as well.

| ok cool man, i cant imagine anything that slow, u may have to uninstall again :S if not we can try again saturday.
and no steam, better to do this without it, well for now its no difference i dont think, i hope, but if we ever get enough pople to attepmt any of the other ones, well then steam is a no no as there will be modding involved

| So I uninstalled it, but forgot that I don't have the installers on my pc. Best bet is for you to just give me the installers, then I can mess about with it in my own time, instead of spending the whole meeting trying to install the game. I've been playing a bit of RTW to get back into it though | |
