| OKAY, SO. GUYS, IT GOES LIKE THIS.
There's a good chance that there's going to be a society outing - well, I say outing and mean AWESOME EXPEDITION - to London next October for the MCM Expo. It runs over the weekend covering the 30th and 31st, so there shouldn't be too many problems with coursework and whatnot.
Travel shouldn't cost much more than fifty pounds there and back, and I am informed by a friend who goes every year that general tickets are £10 per day, with Fast Entry being an extra £4. Getting around London, as Coni tells me, is a tenner as well, or have I gotten it wrong?
Accomodation is a different matter, with the possibility that there may be various people willing to put us up. A NOTE, HOWEVER. If you prove yourself a douche/prick/dickhead/similar then the likelihood of you being favoured for the free accomodation is not very good. NOT GOOD AT ALL, SUNSHINE. And honestly, we'll be spending a weekend together, so please remember that coming to troll/be an ass will get you several suggestions to fuck off back home.
There's talk of a TF2 group - so far we have a RED team planned with a BLU spy, but should we get more people than will fit in a team interested there's always a chance that we could get more of the BLU team on the go.
SO, THE QUESTION IS THIS. Are you/would you be interested in participating in the madness, and if so would you consider being a Valvefag and doing the TF2 group?
CLAIMED ROLES:
(Irony) Scout: Andy Soldier: Polanskers Pyro: Iain Shackell, ninja extraordinaire Demoman: Rob Heavy: Michael Engineer: Colin Medic: Myself Sniper: Adam H. Spy: Coni Sandvich: David, brave man that he is
YOU KNOW IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL, GUYS.

| I'm saying approximately £10-15 for a groupsave all day (there is some crazy deal where one ticket gets you on all buses and tubes for that day off peak), but I swear to god it's just an estimate. It depends how much travelling we actually want to do in London as well, but I suggest keeping it to a minimum as London sucks. Unless someone DESPERATELY NEEDS to feed pigeons in Trafalgar Square (I was there in August, There were about 12.)
But yeah. It will be an expense remember; we have food, travel and potentially some rooms to book.
And if someone already has a blue suit that fits them I'm willing to waive my spy, but IT BETTER BE A DAMN GOOD SUIT. ;3
Oh god, we need to not travel at all during rush hour. YOU MAY HAVE TO GET UP AT 6AM TO GET A 6.30 TRAIN. BEAR THIS IN MIND.

| Yes, I whole heartedly agree with this. I even have other group of friends who are planning go to it as well. And I was just talking to them about this and they say they're wanting to go as a TF2 team aswell. So we might actually have a blue team to 'fight' | |

| Well, after talking to the Polanskis both of them are on board, and Polanskers is enthusiastic about the Soldier. His impression is too beautiful to pass up.
With so many claims, I think we probably should open them generally. Go ahead, whoever's interested!
On another note, our Gracious and Wonderful President has approved the reserving of society funds to be emergency hotel room money.

| Well, to be fair, Engineer has been taken since the idea came up, and Polanskers both attends more meetings than you do and is one of the society administrators. | |

| I think Iain would be an amazing Scout tbh, and Andy like seconded Midgeheavy after Irony Scout.
Seriously Michael, if you don't get shit done in person you get overruled or pre-dibsed.

| RIGHT TROOPS. BAUMP FOR UPDATE ON TRAVEL COSTS. If we book it 6 weeks in advance it's a total of £14.50 each way, split as £3.50 to Glasgow and £11 to Victoria, BUT BUT CATCH the overnight bus friday-saturday is £22 and you get to London at 7am. The only option both possible and cheaper is a bus that leaves Glasgow at 11am on friday and gets in at quarter past 8 which might cost as little as £5 there but will involve people taking all of one friday off and possibly some of monday. Shouldn't be a problem, hell, half of us miss everything amirite (cough especially me) But yeah. THAT IS A CURRENT AND CHEAP TRAVEL PLAN. START YOUR BUDGETS, GENTS. I'll look into groupsave nearer the time but atm this seems awesome. It's on megabus which allows you to book 6 weeks in advance max but obviously the closer it is the more expensive, so like, if we've got everything sorted by next august I can book this shit then | |

| Since travels sorted I guess we'd better buy tickets. It only solidfies peoples need to go down once we get the tickets. How much are they a pop? | |

| Like I said at the TOP OF THE PAGE, COLIN, JEEZ, a tenner each plus another four quid if you want in early. Tickets don't go on sale for the October one until the May one is over, so yeah.
EDIT: Also, if anyone remembers Iain, that awesome ninja leader from the zombie walk, he's said he'd like to come with us too, as our Pyro. I'll make a list on the OP, and update it as needed.
